CLASSIC HERRINGBONE STRIPE

尾州の歴史ある機屋の倉庫から見つけた、眠っていたアーカイブ資料を参考に、混率や色目など独自にアレンジを加え再解釈したオリジナルのストライプ素材。 経糸に黒染した2/48のウールを使用し、緯糸に落ち着いた色濃度の異色を差し込む事により、とても深みのあるカラーになっております。 2/2の綾織をベースにしたヘリンボン組織により、経緯の色彩が均等に混ざり合い、柄がぼんやりと浮かび上がるような設計です。 旧式の織機でゆっくりと織り上げる事で、凹凸があり、ドライで硬さのある独特の風合いの生地に仕上がっています。現行の生地には無い骨董品かの様な唯一無二の存在感。使用に伴う、味のある経年変化も非常に楽しみな生地です。

CLASSIC HERRINGBONE STRIPE

An original striped material that has been reinterpreted by adding unique arrangements such as blending ratio and color, based on dormant archive materials found in the warehouse of a historic weaving shop in Bishu. By using 2/48 wool dyed black for the warp threads and inserting a different color with a calm color density into the weft threads, the color is very deep. The design uses a herringbone weave based on 2/2 twill weave, which allows the colors of the weave to mix evenly and the pattern to stand out vaguely. By slowly weaving it on an old-fashioned loom, the fabric has a unique texture that is uneven, dry, and hard. It has a unique presence that is like an antique, which is not found in current fabrics. It is a fabric that is very interesting to see how it changes over time as it is used.
